Cricket Betting at s7 — Bet on all major matches from BPL to T20 World Cup
Betting on Bangladesh's most familiar sport is now simpler. At s7, across every cricket format — T20, ODI, or Test — odds shift during the match, markets grow, and new opportunities come up with every over.
Three formats of cricket and popular tournaments
To understand cricket betting, it helps to know the difference between formats first. Each format has its own pace, possible outcomes, and betting markets — so the same odds strategy does not work across all of them.
| Format | Duration | Betting characteristics |
|---|---|---|
| T20 | 20 overs per team | Quick results, live odds change fast, run-based markets are popular in high-scoring matches |
| ODI | 50 overs per team | Medium-paced game, odds move quickly in the final 10 overs |
| Test | Up to five days | A draw is possible, three possible outcomes to bet on, pitch and weather play a big role |
For Bangladeshi fans, BPL is the closest tournament — local clubs, familiar faces, home-ground atmosphere. Matches featuring the Bangladesh Tigers in the IPL and T20 World Cup get the most attention in betting activity. In international ICC events, the larger number of teams means a wider variety of markets.
Odds for BPL, IPL, and international matches are all available on the same platform at s7.
How betting differs in football and other sports
Alongside cricket, football betting is also popular at s7. Football matches are generally 90 minutes, and the outcomes — win, loss, or draw — are relatively straightforward. In cricket, a five-day Test can change completely, so there is more time to make decisions but also more uncertainty.
In football, handicap and goal over/under markets are most common, while cricket has separate markets for runs, wickets, and partnerships. Boxing betting also has its own round-based markets, which you can read about in detail on our boxing page. Once you understand how a sport works, you can work out which markets are easier to bet on.

Understanding how each market works makes it easier to place a considered bet.
Match Winner
A straight bet on which team will win the match. In T20 there is no draw, so there are only two options. Higher odds for Team A means that team is not the favourite.
Most PopularToss Winner
A bet on who wins the toss before the match starts. The result is entirely coin-based, so the odds for both teams are usually about equal.
Pre-MatchTop Batsman
Which batsman scores the most runs in a specific innings or across the whole match. With multiple players in the running, odds are generally higher.
Player MarketTotal Runs Over/Under
A bet on whether total runs in the whole match or a specific set of overs will be above or below a set number. Pitch type plays a big role here.
Run-BasedOver of First Wicket
A bet on which over of the innings the first wicket will fall. The form of the openers and the bowlers' spells are relevant here.
Wicket MarketMulti Bet
Combining bets from multiple matches or markets increases the total odds. But if any one bet loses, the entire multi bet is lost.
Multiple BetsSeries Winner
A bet on which team will win a multi-match series overall. As a long-term market, odds tend to be higher early on.
Series MarketDecimal, Fractional and American — three odds formats
Odds are essentially a number that tells you how much you stand to get back. The same odds can be written in three formats, but the meaning is the same.
If Team A wins, return is ৳600 (profit ৳400 + original stake ৳200). If Team A loses, ৳200 is gone.
If Team B wins, return is ৳360 (profit ৳160). American minus odds show how much you need to stake to win ৳100.
The s7 platform generally displays decimal format, which is the easiest for newcomers to understand. Fractional is UK-style, and American format is mainly used on overseas sites.
The higher the odds number, the less likely that outcome is — but the return is also higher if it wins.
Odds shift with every wicket and over — live in-play betting
Live betting is the most fast-moving part of cricket. Even if odds are set before the match starts, as the game goes on, every wicket, boundary, or dot ball changes the odds. For example —
- If a top-order batter gets out early, the batting team's odds go up (meaning they become more of an underdog)
- If a lot of runs come in the powerplay, the target looks easier, so the chasing team's odds come down
- If only a few runs are needed off the last over, the batting team's odds move close to 1.00
- A maiden over lifts the bowling team's confidence — this is reflected quickly in the in-play odds
Live betting requires quick decisions. One advantage is that you can make your call based on how the match is actually flowing, rather than going in blind like with pre-match betting. But since odds drop fast, waiting too long means the opportunity can pass.
Some useful tips for cricket betting
In Test matches, series winner or run-based markets work well; in T20, live markets change quickly.
Decide in advance how much you will bet. Betting is entertainment — you should not raise your next bet to try to recover a loss.
Three selections at decimal 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.80 = 3.78 — ৳100 returns ৳378, but if even one of the three loses, the full ৳100 is gone.
Spin-friendly pitches produce fewer runs; pace-friendly pitches can see wickets fall quickly. This matters in over/under markets.
Betting is for entertainment, not as a source of income. Follow the responsible gaming guidelines and set your own limits.
Keep in mind
In cricket, anything can happen on any given day. Even the greatest teams lose, so nothing is certain. Betting is entertainment — approach it with that mindset.
